Elsevier has just launched a prototype “Article of the Future,” taking full advantage of the Web’s ability to feature information in a non-linear style and incorporate graphics and animation.  The publisher is inviting viewers to comment, so visit their test site.  It’s pretty phenomenal to be able to not only read about the parts of a cell, but also to interact with the graphics to see things displayed visually and to listen to the author discuss his findings via podcast.njstatelib.org, Simply Amazing, Jul 2009
