Retrospective Archiving Complete!

Whew. I did all of the retrospective archiving of past blog entries in one session today. I did so many entries that Blogger mistook this as spam!! Anyway, what you now have is a vast amount of entries by yours truly dating back to as early as January 1, 2001, when I viewed the 2001: A Space Odyssey DVD to celebrate New Year's Day! Enjoy!

More Retrospective Archiving Coming Soon.

Back a couple months ago I began transfering some very old entries from DavidLisa.com (circa 2001-2004) to the new blog format. Well, I'll be completing that soon, because those pages are going bye bye. Perhaps even this weekend!

Just go to http://www.davidlisa.com and you will bring up my blog. Be sure to resubscribe to the new RSS feed at http://www.davidlisa.com/atom.xml. Ren & Stimpy: The Lost Episodes. Yes Sir! I Love It!

This DVD rocks. I just have to say that John Krisfalusi is one of my favorite animators of all time. Lots of people disagreed with me when I said that the Spike TV Ren & Stimpy episodes were pure genius and the logical outcome of John K's opportunity to do Ren & Stimpy the way that he had originally planned. "Naked Beach Frenzy" and "Stimpy's Pregnant" are so funny and shocking...wait until you see them. Another thing I love is that we get to hear a lot from John K. and his co-horts in this package! Highly recommended, animation fans!

A Fine Example Of Why I Like Steely Dan So Much

Steely Dan. Donald Fagen and Walter Becker. I have loved this band for many, many years. Is there any resemblance between the new Owen Wilson film "You, Me and Dupree" and the Steely Dan song "Cousin Dupree" from the album Two Against Nature? I haven't seen the movie so I don't know... But, check out this open letter to Owen's brother Luke Wilson on the Steely Dan website. After reading this, I might actually go out and see the flick. Enjoy.

What If I Was a Magic Card...?

So, while in Geek Mode this evening, I decided to create a librarian trading card of yours truly. It was made using the very cool Flickr Trading Card Creator. Photo taken while building a PC for another hapless victim. It works as a Magic the Gathering card too! Legendary Hero? Yes, as you can only have one of me in play at any one time. Oh also when you bring me into play, you must also bring in three Taco Bell tokens, good for a Ranchero Chicken Soft Taco each. Click on the image for a closer look.

Neq Wins STV Fishing Tournament for the Second Time!

Today my World of Warcraft Druid Neq won the Stranglethorn Vale Fishing tournament for time #2! She chose the prize Hook of the Master Angler, which enables her to morph into a nasty looking fish and allows her to breath underwater and swim more quickly. Kind of like her natural Druid aquatic form, but in the form of a fish. Today was also notable for Neq in that she caught the last rare fish that she needed, Brownell's Blue Striped Racer, which she turned in for Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots. Neq has now won every prize that can be won in the STV Fishing Tournament. Congratulations Neq!

QuickHeal & Other WoW Addons

This addon for World of Warcraft rocks. It's called QuickHeal and is usable by any healing class in WoW. I use it with my Druid Neq. You can assign intelligent healing to one key and it does a superb job. Other addons I really like: Atlas, Decursive, Fishing Buddy, Gatherer and the all-important Auctioneer, which enabled Neq to earn enough gold to get her epic mount upon hitting 60 WITHOUT FARMING!
