Last Night's Episode of The Office...

It was great. The convention in Philadelphia. Michael and Dwight meeting up with Jim once again. Jim about to prank Dwight by busting in on his hotel room...only to walk in on...Angela??!!?? It's so great to see this awesome TV series firing on all cylinders, in the prime of its life.

The New Dr. Who

...awesome! Although I miss Christoper Eddlestonwhatever...I think the new David Tennant Dr. Who is great. Perfectly suited to the role. And it's nice to see Rose again, even though we know that this current season will be her last. This season will hold the return of Sarah Jane Smith and K-9 from wayyyyyy long ago in our Dr. Who past and I am ready and waiting for that. Once again, it's great to be a Dr. Who fan.

Recently I was interviewed by the good folks at Library Garden and the result was published here. In the interview I talk about recreating traditional websites (like http://www.wlbpl.org) by using Blogger.com templates. Enjoy!

Way Cool Lost Pullout EW Bonus!

Get thee hence to a newsstand and pick up the new issue of Entertainment Weekly (#899). It contains a great 24-page Lost pullout bonus section! It's the perfect way to get yourself all freshened up for the Lost season 3 premiere on October 4th, a mere week and a half away. EW does something similar with Battlestar Galactica too, in the same issue. So, throw all caution to the wind and subscribe to Entertainment Weekly already! It's the only magazine worth its weight in canceled TV series. I swear by it (and swear at it, sometimes).

That's What She Said

Did you catch the season premiere of The Office (tonight on NBC)? Absolutely awe inspiring! Let's just say this: Jim and Pam's relationship is addressed, but it doesn't go where you think it's going to go. At least right now that is. Some great writing here folks. And the camera looks made famous in this series were some of the all-time best tonight. Tuna indeed.

Thursday: Survivor (CBS), The Office (NBC)
Friday: Veronica Mars (The CW), Battlestar Galactica (Sci Fi)

Happy 40th Birthday Star Trek!

I was 9 years old and living in New York on September 8, 1966. AT 8:30 PM EST on that evening on the NBC TV network, a new science fiction series premiered that would change my life and television in general. The name of the series was Star Trek and the impact of the original TV series is still felt to this day. Star Trek remains my favorite TV series of all time. I can't understate how much Star Trek has meant to me while growing up and in my adult life. Captain James T. Kirk, Mr. Spock and Dr. "Bones" McCoy are more than just pop culture icons to me; they are important characters that breathed life into science fiction stories that I have enjoyed for 40 years. They are like family to me. Happy Birthday Star Trek. Gene Roddenberry would be proud! Learn more about Star Trek at http://www.startrek.com.
