Ah, the 2002 Chiller Theatre Expo. I had a great time. I was going to go on Saturday, Oct. 26th, but...something came up (see Friday, Nov. 1st's big announcement for the explanation), so I went on Sunday the 27th. I now wish that I had gone on Saturday since there was a lot more programming on that day. However, I still had a neat time hanging with the other horror film fans, where I truly belong. I took some photos and I thank the many folks who were kind enough to bear with my constantly begging them to photograph me. My highlights: meeting three of my favorite horror film actresses, Brinke Stevens, Linda Blair and Patricia Tallman all for the first time. Shaking hands and taking photos with Tom Savini and Hank Garrett was also fun (look closely in the background of the Hank Garrett photos for a glimpse of Michael Berryman of The Hills Have Eyes fame). I got photos of all of that activity. You can check out the photos here. I will be going to the next Chiller Expo for sure.
Two parts pop culture, a dash of professional librarianship and a whole lot of World of Warcraft.

Major News Coming...
No doubt you've seen the strobing Major Announcement banner above. What's up with that? Well, if you don't know what it's all about already, you'll just have to wait until Friday to find out...or you can ask me nicely and I might reveal the truth to you. There are already some of you out there who know the secret and some of you can guess. Suffice to say that it's gonna be incredible fun...weirdly enough, it started off as an idea to culminate in something else entirely. Funny how things go. See you back here on Friday, November 1st at 8 PM. Heh heh.
Foo Fighters
Gotta put in a plug here for the Foo Fighters' new CD One by One. I love this disc. I'd have to say that it's my favorite Foos CD so far and I have them all. The entire CD rocks! They are in such fine form. Be sure to catch Dave Grohl on Howard Stern and David Letterman on Halloween Day, October 31st. And go out and buy this CD NOW!

Willard Remake Is Coming!
Just found out that filming recently wrapped on a remake of one of my favorite films of the 1970's: Willard. For those of you who are not acquainted with the movie, it is the story of a downtrodden fellow who exacts his revenge upon those who have humiliated him with, what else, his pet rats! Bruce Davison played the lead in the original, classic, 1971 movie, which spawned a sequel, Ben. In an amazing bit of casting, this time around, Willard will be portrayed by none other than Crispin Glover! Wow. I'm crossing my fingers! The new Willard is said to be heading for an August 2003 debut at theatres (around the same time as Freddy Vs. Jason).

Unreal Tournament 2003
Unreal Tournament 2003 continues to amaze me! It's awesome! If you have a top-of-the-line video card, fast processor and a huge amount of RAM (like me, hee hee), try running the game at or above 1024 X 768 and turning up the detail levels. I have never seen such attention to detail like in UT 2003. I am so glad to be a UT fan, because this is such a treat. And, online play with a cable modem is great, even without the upcoming patch! Wow! Look for me (NapoleonSolo) online! Check out my UT2003 online stats.
