Fatboy Slim Is Back!

Fatboy Slim returns on October 5th a new CD called Palookaville. It's about time. The new single, a cover of Steve Miller's The Joker, sounds pretty good! Read and listen here.

The Return of The Prodigy

...and, speaking of returns after long hiatuses, The Prodigy will be back on September 14th with their looooonnnnnggg awaited new release Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned. You can sample two tracks off the album at The Prodigy Team website here. Warning: If you are expecting The Prodigy to sound like they did on their last album, 1997's Fat of the Land (you remember...Firestarter, Breathe and Smack My Bitch Up were the most popular songs), you will be in for a surprise. They have abandoned the vocal style of that release and, instead, have returned to the beats that characterized their first two albums Experience and Music for the Jilted Generation. From the looks of the two advance cuts, it's gonna be a great album.

The Bourne Supremacy

I discovered the first film very late, only last month. Supremacy blew me away. Excellent flick. I am looking forward to the last chapter.

The Village

I am never let down by Night. I thought the payoff of this movie was so cool. And the performances were great too. Bryce Howard was exceptional. Awesome summer entertainment.

Metallica: Some Kind of Monster

I had no idea that Metallica was experiencing this type of strife within the band. The movie reminded me a whole lot of The Beatles' Let It Be, but without the "concert film" baggage. I enjoyed every minute of this even though I really didn't enjoy the St. Anger album all that much.
